A dull damp dank day at Virginia. Exactly matching the mood as we wait for the mystery to unravel on Monday ie. the Valuation of Satyam.

The crucial question still remains unanswered - the basic one. Did Raju fugde numbers to glamorise the results or was the money real but siphoned off. May be the shortlisted bidders who have had the privilege of peeking into the scrubbed books have an answer. A bigger question looms in front of them. Valuing the lawsuits slapped on Satyam.

I have been waiting for a good definitive valuation perspective analysis of the Satyam debacle for a long time. Yet to see one. Probably because the incidents defy what is taught in B-Schools.
